TUV Certified High Quality T250 Adjustable KST201 Thermostat for Electric Baking Pan
KST bimetallic thermostats are flashing mechanical temperature switches (a type of bimetallic strip thermostat).
Their core function is to switch the circuit on and off through the thermal deformation of the bimetallic strip. They are primarily used for temperature control or overheat protection in small to medium power heating equipment, and are a low-cost, highly reliable temperature control component for small household appliances and industrial equipment.
Working Principle:
The core mechanism is the "jump-type" action of a bimetallic strip and an energy storage spring:
1. Temperature Sensing Stage: The bimetallic strip (composed of two metals with different coefficients of thermal expansion pressed together) directly contacts the surface of the controlled equipment, bending and deforming with temperature changes;
2. Energy Accumulation: The deformation force of the bimetallic strip gradually acts on the energy storage spring. When the deformation reaches a threshold, the energy storage spring performs a jump-type action (time < 0.2 seconds);
3. Circuit Connection/Disconnection: The jump-type action pushes the contacts open (when the temperature is too high), cutting off the heating circuit; after the temperature drops, the bimetallic strip recovers, the energy storage spring jumps in the opposite direction, and the contacts close again;
4. Temperature Adjustment: The operating temperature can be changed by adjusting the initial deformation of the bimetallic strip using a knob/screw (some models have a fixed value and are not adjustable).
