This is a rotary selector switch (also called a function selector switch), a core control component in small high-temperature appliances such as electric ovens, electric heaters, and electric stoves, used to switch between different operating modes or power levels.

Working Principle:

Rotating the knob drives the internal moving contact assembly to rotate, causing the moving contact to engage or disengage with stationary contacts at different positions, thereby switching the circuit's on/off state and combination of states. This allows the appliance to switch between different heating powers and heating modes.

These types of switches are commonly used in appliances such as electric ovens and electric heaters, allowing for multi-level power or function adjustment by rotating to switch different contact combinations.
