This is a T46 type pressure-type mechanical thermostat, also called a liquid expansion thermostat, a core component used in commercial and residential heating/cooling equipment for precise temperature control.

Working Principle:

It operates based on the principle of liquid thermal expansion and contraction and pressure-driven mechanical switching:
- Temperature Sensing: The temperature sensing bulb (probe) directly contacts the controlled object or environment, and is filled with a temperature-sensing liquid (such as silicone oil or isobutane).

- Pressure Conversion: When the temperature rises, the liquid inside the temperature sensing bulb expands due to heat, increasing the pressure; when the temperature decreases, the liquid contracts, decreasing the pressure.

- Switching Action: Pressure changes are transmitted through a capillary tube to the bellows/diaphragm inside the thermostat, pushing the mechanical structure to control the opening and closing of contacts, thereby starting or stopping the heating or cooling element.

- Manual Adjustment: The adjustment shaft at the top can change the preload of the internal spring, thereby setting different target temperatures.
