The KSD9700 thermal protector is a commonly used temperature protection device.

Basic Introduction: 
The KSD9700 series products are temperature controllers that use a bimetallic strip as the temperature sensing element. When the appliance is operating normally, the bimetallic strip is in a free state, and the contacts are either closed or open. When the temperature rises to the operating temperature, the bimetallic element generates internal stress due to heat and quickly actuates, opening or closing the contacts to cut off or connect the circuit, thus providing thermal protection. When the temperature drops to the reset temperature, the contacts automatically close or open, restoring normal operation.

Classification:
- By operating nature: Can be divided into normally open and normally closed types.
Normally open type: The contacts are open at room temperature; when the temperature rises to the set value, the contacts close, connecting the circuit. Normally closed type: Conversely, the contacts are closed at room temperature; when the temperature reaches the set value, the contacts open, cutting off the circuit.

- By reset method: Can be divided into self-resetting and non-self-resetting types.
The KSD9700 series is generally self-resetting, meaning that when the temperature drops to the reset temperature, the contacts automatically return to their initial state without manual intervention.

Applications: 
Widely used in household appliances and electrical equipment, such as washing machine motors, air conditioner fan motors, transformers, ballasts, electric heating appliances, battery chargers, office automation equipment, etc., effectively preventing these devices from being damaged due to overheating.
