Performance Requirements for Cartridge Heater
1. Heating up time:
Under the test voltage, the time for the electric heating element to rise from ambient temperature to test temperature should be less than 15min;
2. The rated power deviation:
Under sufficient heating conditions, the rated power deviation of the electric heating element shall not exceed the following specified ranges:
For rated power which is less than or equal to 100W:
the rated power deviation of those electric heating element shall be: ±10%
For rated power which is more than 100W:
the rated power deviation of those electric heating element shall be: +5%~-10%,
taking the larger value between the two.
3.The leakage current:
The cold leakage current and the leakage current after the water pressure and seal test should not exceed 0.5mA.
The hot leakage current under the working temperature should be no more than the calculated value in the formula, but no more than 5mA. Formula:

When multiple electric heating element are being connected to the power supply, a leakage current test shall be carried out as a whole.
4. Insulation resistance:
The cold insulation resistance before delivery shall be no less than 50 m Ω
After the sealing test, whether the state if long-term storage or the long-term using, the insulation resistance should be more than 1MΩ.
The hot insulation resistance under the working temperature should be no less than the calculated value in the formula, but no less than 1 m Ω to the minimum. Formula:

5. Insulation pressure strength:
The electric heating element should be able to withstand the test of specified condition and voltage for 1 minute, without any flashover and breakdown.
6. The ability to go with on/off power supply:
The electric heating element shall be able to undergo 2,000times of power on/off tests under the specified test conditions, and without any damage.
7. Overload capacity:
The electric heating element shall be subjected to 30 cycle overload tests under the specified test conditions and input power, and without any damage.
8.Heat resistance:
The components shall be subjected to 1000 cycles of heat resistance test under the specified test conditions and test voltage, and without any damage.
