Cartridge heater also can be called single end electric pipe, is a kind of electric heater(tubular water heating element). In the thermal industries of our domestic market, we originally called it M3. It has been widely used in China since the late 1990s. There are a variety of shapes for the electric heating element. And in South of China, people called this type of single end electric heating pipes for mold as cartridge heater. Very graphic description. While in the foreign market, it's been called as the cartridge heater, also another vivid description. Because the shell of cylinder is a cylindrical shell, and it is blocked at one end. Same description between the domestic market and the overseas market.
Difference between the Cartridge Heater & the ordinary Heater
1. appearance: there' s only one outgoing line(one end) of the cartridge heater, while the ordinary electric heating element has two outgoing line(two ends);
2. the internal structure: they are different in the way of wire running. Especially the current imported cartridge heater, it is quite different from the ordinary electric heating element;
3. production process: there are more complex techniques being involved during the manufacturing of the cartridge heater. For example, the contracted pipe, it ensures the higher power and longer life time of the cartridge heater.
