Basic Functions:
1. Overheat Protection: 
This thermostat is primarily used to prevent the water heater from overheating. When the water temperature exceeds the set safety threshold, it automatically shuts off the power and stops heating to prevent accidents such as burns, protecting the water heater and the user.
2. Manual Reset: 
When the thermostat trips due to overheat protection, a manual reset is required to restart the water heater. Typically, a small dot can be found on the front of the thermostat; simply poke it with a toothpick to reset the thermostat. Some models have the reset button inside the side cover. After removing the black sticker and unscrewing the side cover, you'll find a round black component with four binding posts. Pressing the white binding posts resets the thermostat.

Structural Features: 
The thermostat typically uses a snap-action design. Its housing is typically cylindrical, housing a bimetallic circular disc and a normally closed or normally open contact. The bracket is made of bakelite or white porcelain, and the housing is metal. These thermostats are characterized by their compact size, light weight, arc resistance, high reliability, long life, and minimal radio interference.
