This KSD302/303 model is a snap-action bimetallic thermostat. 
Its core working principle is based on the difference in thermal expansion coefficients of the bimetallic strips, combined with mechanical transmission to achieve rapid circuit switching. Specifically, it consists of two stages: temperature-triggered disconnection and cooling-reset closure. 

Compared to the standard KSD301 model, the core principle is the same, but this enhanced model has a more stable transmission structure: it uses a ceramic actuator instead of the plastic transmission component of the KSD301, offering higher high-temperature resistance and mechanical strength. In high-power/high-temperature scenarios, it avoids contact failure caused by deformation of the transmission component.

In short:

it is an "upgraded version" of KSD301, which is more durable and adaptable to a wider range of scenarios (especially high-power/high-temperature/humidity equipment).
