1. Introduction:

       Silicone rubber heater (silicone rubber heating plate) is a kind of thin sheet which is heated by electricity and has a standard thickness of 1.50 mm. The heating element is made of nickel chromium wire or nickel chromium foil with a thickness of 0.05 mm to 0.10 mm etched into a certain shape, and the two bread pieces are made of heat-conducting insulating material through high-temperature compression molding and aging heat treatment, thus having high reliability. It is incomparable to the common electrothermal film printed on insulating materials with graphite paste, resistance paste and other pastes.

       Silicone rubber heater is a soft red film that can be tightly attached to various curved surfaces and can be made according to various shapes and powers.
The silica gel heater designed, developed and produced by us breaks through the " hard" defect of the traditional heater technically, can be more conveniently close to the heated object and its shape can change with the requirements, and can provide an efficient and uniform heating surface with small volume and small temperature difference.


2. Characteristics:

1. Heating is rapid and its thermal conductivity is 1W/m- K. Because of its small heat capacity, it can be turned on or off quickly.

2. The thermal efficiency is high. In the case of boiling liquid, the temperature of the heating film itself is only several tens of degrees higher than that of the liquid, saving energy by 2 - 3 times than that of the ordinary electric furnace.

3. Water resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and high electrical insulation strength.

4. High mechanical strength and mechanical pressure of 100 kg/cm.

5. It is small in size and takes up almost no space in use.

6. Easy to use, because of its own insulation and no open flame, it greatly simplifies the process of heat preservation and insulation.

7. The temperature tolerance range is wide, from - 60 ºC to 250 ºC, which is not reached by ordinary electrical appliances.

8. Long life, almost permanent continuous use under normal use conditions. Because Ni-Cr can resist any corrosion, and the resistance of silica gel surface is as high as 100.00 kg/cm. It is impossible to compare with any kind of electric heating apparatus.

1. Connected with Surface Sensing Thermostats: 
       They are mounted to monitor the temperature of the part that the heater is attached to and can be mounted to stock heaters. Thermal International offers OEM service if other temperature settings are required, thermostats can be special ordered. Thermostats are snap action style and are rated to 10A/240V or 14A/120V. They are not recommended for low voltage heaters.

2. Connected with Adjustable Thermostats 
       Can only be used to sense part temperature. They are often used with drum heaters but can also be used with standard heaters. Temperature adjustment range is 25°F to 330°F.

3. Connected Thermocouples
       Can be mounted to any silicone rubber heater and any calibration (J, K, Pt100 etc.) is available.

4. Silicone Rubber Sponge Insulation
       To improve heater efficiency, 1/16", 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" insulation can be bonded to the outside of the heater. Closed cell silicone sponge is extremely flexible and has a temperature range of -103°F to 450°F. 

5. Round Heaters
       Round shapes are available and are best attached to tooling with PSA.

6. Custom shapes:
       Odd shapes are available to fit those hard to heat devices. Holes and cut-outs help fit those irregular shaped tools.
