Selection of the Industrial Band Heater 
It is not easy to have a good command of the selection of band heater. You will find it difficult to choose the most effective band heater for the industrial use. The heater's service life time, start-up time, processing temperature, durability, size and cost, each of above indeed plays a significant role when it comes to the selection of the band heater. When considering our instructions of which band heater to choose for you particular purpose, please keep in mind that each application will have its own set of unique selection skills. 
1. Cast Band Heaters
Cast band heater is very expensive but its warranty can be as long as 10 years or even longer. It is extremely rugged and strong. The cast heater, on one hand, can run under in a very low watt densities; on the other hand, it also can work at high temperature. Unlike the mica strips, lead time for the cast band heater is generally very long. It is equipped with cooling fins or tubes. Usually it can be made from bronze or aluminum.
2. Ceramic Band Heater
Generally, the ceramic band heater is equipped with longer life time and lower energy costs. They offer efficient heating transfer, besides, with no affection of the irregular or loose surface. It is usually applicable to the high temperature situations. 
3. Extruded Aluminum Band Heaters
The extruded aluminum band heater is pretty tight as well as solid. The tubular elements it adopted were snapped up to an extruded aluminum box. It can offer the excellent heat transfer and have a long life. The extruded aluminum strip cannot withstand the temperature above 343ºC. 
4. Mica Band Heater
Mica band heater is generally more expensive but easier to fix. It got its name from the electrical insulation Mica. Usually, the mica tape can be customized for production within short lead time. Besides, various types of sizes of it are available. There is a tight sheath on it in case of burnt out too early. In addition, generally speaking, we do not suggest the the application of the mica tape under high temperature or high power density circumstances. 
5. Small-sized Spring Coiled Heaters
Small-sized spring coiled heaters is generally applicable for the hot runner systems. And it can provide a carefree heat. Heaters of this type are usually processed with sealing so as to avoid the failure due to contamination. Axial clamps is of easy installation. It is workable at a higher temperature.
6. Coil Heaters
The coil heater is a low - configured heater that is easy to install in the tight situation of the multi - door mold. The heat is carried out from the entire 350 degree circumference ( not mica tape ). The thermocouple type is optional (K-type/ J-type/ E-type), and it make the heater equipped with the ability to measure the temperature. 
7. Mineral Band Heater
The mineral band heater is usually equipped with high performance. In contrast to the mica types, the mineral band heater is applicable to the conditions of high temperature and high power watt density. Among all kinds of band heater, it is the relatively expensive band heater, besides, it has longer lead time. It is one of the most efficient band heater and it is pollution-resistant.
